An aggressive litigator, Mr. Ogden has successfully represented individuals and families in civil rights matters and those who have suffered catastrophic injuries from trucking, automotive and industrial accidents.

Mr. Ogden is known for his effective handling of expert witnesses, skillful conduct of depositions, trial preparation, and cross-examinations, employing a strategic approach tailored to strengthen the impact of each case.

In practicing in state and federal venues across the country, Mr. Ogden’s tenacious representation has earned him some of the legal industry’s highest honors, including being named National Trial Lawyer of the Year by Public Justice for his work involving the defamation case against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who falsely claimed the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting was a hoax.

His impressive list of accolades includes repeat recognition by Texas Rising Stars Up-and-Coming 100, National Trial Lawyers Texas Top 40 Under 40, and Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch.

One example of Mr. Ogden’s courtroom successes is a $1.53 million settlement secured in a federal lawsuit against Harris County constables. Mr. Ogden represented four women in the case, which alleged sexual misconduct and exploitation during so-called “bachelor party” stings while they worked as rookie Precinct 1 constable deputies.

Another high-profile case Mr. Ogden is widely recognized for is his representation of a family who suffered a horrific loss following a domestic dispute between two Houston-area neighbors, resulting in the shooting death of Ana Weed. As the lead trial lawyer in April 2022, Mr. Ogden secured a $70 million award in compensatory damages.

In 2019, Deer Park, TX, Mr. Ogden’s hometown, was struck by one of the worst industrial chemical fires in history. The blaze at Intercontinental Terminals Company resulted in extensive air pollution from various chemicals. As litigation began, U.S. Southern District of Texas Judge Kenneth Hoyt appointed Mr. Ogden as lead counsel for the consolidated action, overseeing approximately 10,000 cases. That same year, Mr. Ogden was also appointed lead counsel in a high-profile case involving thousands of victims of the notorious TPC Group plant explosion.
